Right now in the garden

Baby squash

Adult salad

Oregano flowers

Parsley flowers

Last but not least: our new electric drying machine, filled with a wild relative of chamomile called pineapple weed (tunbalderbrå). It makes a lovely tea and is very common both around our cabin and right outside the forest. Also: a pot full of fireweed (geitrams) flowers soon to become syrup.

  1. Jessica, did you know you can eat the pumpkin flowers? It is a traditional meal in Mexico to add pumpkin flowers to quesadillas. You just need to fry them slightly and add some salt. Try it ; )

    1. Hei Inés! We have been eating them, but mostly in homemade pestos or with pasta. Pumpkin flower quesadillas sound delicious. We will definitely try it. :)
